Digital Literacy Training for PAUD Teachers
UNPAK - In the framework of the implementation of one of the Higher Education Tri Dharma namely Community Service, a group of lecturers from the Educational Administration Study Program at Pakuan University and the Computer Science Study Program at Fmipa Pakuan University.
The event was led by Dr.Henny Suharyati, M.Sc with members namely Dr. Yuyun Elizabeth Patras, M.Pd and Mulyati, M.Kom conducting digital literacy training which included Online Competency Test (UKG) Teacher Competency Test, Dapodik Online, Sispena Borang and training multimedia based teaching materials. Abdimas is conducted at SPS Gandaria in the District of North Bogor.
Digital Literacy Training for PAUD Teachers by the Abdimas Team of Pakuan University
The purpose of this activity is to improve the digital literacy skills of teachers in accessing reporting, training, competency tests, learning resources and training in making multimedia-based teaching materials. Teacher pedagogy in digital literacy that is very much needed in the educational era 4.0.
The ability of teachers to make RPP, RPH, RPM is only understanding but they are not yet skilled in making it in the form of creative and innovative learning media. This situation is constrained by limited teacher skills and infrastructure.
Increasing competitiveness in the field of education, especially Early Childhood Education (PAUD) continues to be carried out and developed, because this field has become one of the pillars of the national strategy in the government's mission.
The challenges of education in the educational era 4.0 are very large, especially in increasing the nation's competitiveness. Efforts are made by increasing teacher pedagogical competence and its relation to digital literacy faced when teachers will take the Teacher Competency Exams, filling in student data online, filling accreditation forms, making innovative learning media.
Guidance has been done a lot both for management fostering, teacher competence, parenting and the exploration of students' talents.
This becomes a new problem that needs to be mapped in the system to be built in the form of increasing teacher pedagogical competence in the effort to empower digital literacy skills.
The initial stage of the activity will be integrated in training and mentoring in working on activities related to technology so as to obtain the output of digital literacy skills of PAUD teachers.
The results obtained are an increase in the ability of teachers to access programs related to digitization which are then developed in the form of teacher creativity in designing multimedia-based teaching materials.
The benefit obtained is an increase in the ability of teachers who will also improve the quality of graduates.
The training material is packaged in the form of an ISBN book containing the four training modules plus the MS-Word, MS-Excel and Power Point modules.
The teacher needs to understand basic knowledge about MS-Word computer software to be able to make letters, tables and entries in the Sispena Borang form.
MS-Excel is needed to be able to make data tables of educators and student data in filling in Dapodik Online. Power Point is needed to be able to create multimedia learning designs, make videos and cut videos and so on.
The impact of the implementation of the training and dissemination of science and technology activities was felt to be very beneficial for SPS Gandaria teachers who had an early background as housewives who were technologically illiterate to become digital literacy literacy.
SPS Gandaria teachers become more confident in accessing data in digital form and use it to create multimedia teaching materials and deliver material to their students because of the learning media material obtained during training activities.
